Procrastination

Man, I so wish I didn't have this horrible trait. Procrastination is by far my biggest character flaw and the root of EVIL!! So being that I HATE and I mean absolutely HATE to shop I have procrastinated doing any Christmas shopping. Typically I do all my shopping online and the packages just arrive without too much craziness and it's all good. Well this year I procrastinated until it was too late for shipping to get here in time for Christmas with out rush shipping fees...so Monday yes that would MONDAY, December 17 that I went out and started my shopping and it was TODAY that I finally got out to complete it....except the few items I still needed were the major 1 things on my boys list and guess what they are hard to find - not good to wait until the last minute items. So this evening after spending the morning at the doctors office with the younger 2 and then helping my dad with somethings at my parents Dan and I with his best friend who is in town for Christmas got a sitter and began our mission to do a couple returns and find the needed items. In 3 1/2 hours we had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then trekked through ToysRus, Kohls, KB Toys, Target, Walmart, Meijer, and Kmart. We managed to successfully get all but one item...not to bad, but the one item is my 2 son's "big" item....a red Nintendo DS......so tonight I am on ebay trying to make a deal with a local guy to buy one and be able to pick it up tomorrow....man the things I have to do because I don't buckle down and get things done when I should....really paying for it this year.

Well that's today's saga from procrastination...leads me to ask what is your worst trait? Procrastination is certainly mine. I am not one to typically make new years resloutions, but I do think goals are important...I think I need to work towards procrastinating less.

Just getting started over here.....

Well I thought since I have blogged a bit on myspace, it might be better to start an actual blog to be able to keep a record of my random postings. I caught up with an old friend from high school online and was able to go to her blog and catch up on the past few years of her life with just a few clicks of a mouse. So here I am. I plan to try to move over my old blogs from myspace as well. I am not doing this necessary for others to read, but it's my own way to get my thoughts out.
